Position Title: UX Researcher & Design Strategist

Provide locations/flexible work by preference: Majority of team are in and around Pittsburgh

Ability to work remote: remote

Days of the week: Monday through Friday

Working Hours (Flexible): 8-5 EST (9 am or 10 am EST daily stand ups EST)

Length of Assignment: potential through 2026

Function of the group: Research, UX design/ UI Design, and strategy

Current initiatives/project(s) that this resource will be impacting:

Experience Design for C&IB, supports the digital design strategy and delivery for Pinnacle platform, web and mobile presence. (90% of time)

Research strategy and design for other C&IB areas, more short term support/projects

Roles and Responsibilities:

UX Researcher to lead and facilitate UX research and workshop activities with internal product teams, and to lead and execute user research with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize research needs across the product roadmap.
• Design and conduct mixed-methods user research (e.g., interviews, usability testing, surveys, ethnographic studies).
• Develop research plans, screeners, discussion guides, and data collection instruments.
• Synthesize and present findings in a compelling, actionable way to stakeholders at various levels.
• Translate insights into clear recommendations that influence product direction and design decisions.
• Work closely with product and design partners to align research activities with business and user goals.
• Champion user-centered thinking throughout the organization.
• Maintain and evolve our research practices, tools, and participant management processes.

Technical Skills:

• Mural/ Fig jam

• Microsoft office suite
• User zoom/ Survey Monkey

Flex Skills:

• Similar experience with story boarding in different tools
• Confluence or other tools

Soft Skills:

• Understanding interaction design principles
• Responsive patterns
• Ability to work cross functional (product tech and design)
• Communication and story telling skills
• Consistent and organized, detail oriented
• Operate and contribute to a governance program
