Basic Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related Science or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Responsibilities for this Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems is looking for an enthusiastic and driven Test & Evaluation Engineer to join our dynamic team. We lead the charge in designing, developing, producing, integrating, and sustaining the Common Weapon Launcher (CWL) on both U.S. and Australian submarines, as well as the Multi-Tube Weapon Simulator (MTWS) on U.S. and Foreign Military submarines. Our dedicated CWL and MTWS team collaborates closely with the Navy, internal production teams, and industry partners to ensure the flawless delivery and operation of these critical systems in laboratory and submarine environments

What sets you apart:

  • Proficiency in software testing and analysis.
  • 5-10 years of experience with AN/BYG-1, AN/BQQ-10, AN/BLQ-10 or Submarine Weapon Launchers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • General knowledge of network configurations, operations, and commands.
  • Navy or Submarine experience is a valuable asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Crafting comprehensive test procedures.
  • Proficiently utilizing electrical measurement tools, such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
  • Conducting Verification and Validation for corrective changes.
  • Performing installations, rip-outs, testing, and validation of tactical systems.
  • Assisting in configuring the lab in accordance with relevant drawings and port maps.
  • Supporting informal and formal test events, as well as other customer-driven test activities.
  • Identifying, analyzing, and documenting software, firmware, and hardware defects and collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Supporting the Logistics team in the development of installation and operation procedures.
  • Employing a professional and confident approach when working with various engineering groups and external entities to define, document, analyze, conduct, and interpret tests.
  • Identifying functional issues and proposing effective resolutions.
  • Operating in a fast-paced, integrated product development team comprising professionals from multiple contracting organizations and DoD laboratory entities.
  • Developing and analyzing test cases while providing regular progress updates.
  • Reporting to a manager, demonstrating a high degree of autonomy in your work.
  • Some travel required (in support of test events in government labs, as well as shipboard installations in domestic and international locations).

This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.

Combined Salary Range

USD $102,000.00 - USD $112.00 /Yr.
