YOUR OPPORTUNITY

Sidel Mexico is looking for a Quality, Health, and Safety Specialist to support our Safety Department as a QHSE Specialist for the installation of equipment and services in Latin America, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. This role involves close collaboration with internal and external teams to implement and oversee installation activities, in compliance with Mexican and other Latin America regulations and company policies.

YOUR MISSION

  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Enforce safety protocols, procedures, and guidelines for installation and services activities.
  • Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards related to equipment installation and service.
  • Ensure all installation and service activities comply with relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies for necessary permits and approvals.
  • Collaborate with project managers to streamline installation and services processes for efficiency.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to enhance overall installation productivity.
  • Perform training programs for installation and services teams on quality and safety procedures.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to ensure teams are up to date on best practices.
  • Conduct regular skill assessments to identify training needs.
  • Collaborate with customer support teams to gather feedback on installation and services.
  • Implement improvements based on customer feedback to enhance overall satisfaction.
  • Ensure timely and effective resolution of customer issues related to installation and services.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of installation activities, including quality control and safety measures.
  • Prepare regular reports on quality and safety performance for management review.
  • Document and report any non-compliance issues and corrective actions taken.
  • Evaluate and monitor the performance of external contractors involved in installation.
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure vendor compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Conduct regular assessments of vendor and contractor capabilities.
  • Secure Security Travel Management for all interventions in the region.
  • Secure mapping, monitoring, development plan, follow up for training programs related to QHSE&S for employees.
  • Secure controlling and vigilance of PPE setup and availabilities for employees.
  • Interact with Sourcing for suppliers’ evaluations and correction plans.
  • Drive Communications and initiatives with other functions linked to QHSE&E for employees.
  • Track and trend reporting of incidents and calculate injury frequencies for corporate and Latin America compliance.
  • Complete accident/illness investigations; documenting as is appropriate and communicating with government agencies and vendors.
  • Inspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, or practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulations.
  • Evaluate safety deficiencies, authoring and communicating documentation relative to the same.
  • Conduct safety training and education programs for compliance, including the NRs, and demonstrate the use of safety equipment.
  • Provide regular reporting for status and escalate critical risk observations.
  • Provide new-employee health and safety orientations and develop materials for these presentations.
  • Lead site changes to encourage performance expectations for safe behaviour to guarantee employee safety.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

YOUR PROFILE

Level of education and languages:

  • Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field
  • Fluent level of English/Spanish is a must.
  • Portuguese is an advantage.

Required experience and skills:

  • DC-5 Certification Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
  • In depth knowledge of legislation of normative Mexicana de la STPS
  • Minimum 5 years of experience teaching safety standards that apply to hazards in Latin America
  • Beverage Industry experience
  • QHS&E Certifications
  • Availability to travel up to 60% in Latin America and 10% internationally.
  • Skill in performing safety inspections ensuring compliance with
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Ability to develop, implement, and enforce safety programs, procedures, and protocols.
  • Skill in performing safety inspections and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and Mexican regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
