Perficient currently has a career opportunity for a Vice President/ Controller in our Corporate office located in St. Louis, MO. Perficient is looking for a proven Finance Professional that has a desire to grow, this position includes  the opportunity to transition into the Chief Financial Officer position over the next three to five years.  This role requires a strong leader in a matrix environment who acts as a key business partner to Perficient’ s operational stakeholders.  The right individual must possess the ability to help drive efficiencies, work independently and proactively, and be comfortable interacting with senior leadership and the outside board of directors.  The  successful candidate should demonstrate a proven track record of working in publicly traded services focused organizations.  This role requires a futurist who can anticipate business needs and drive outcomes while demonstrating mature team leadership and team development.   

  

Job Overview:

The Vice President/ Controller is an officer level position within the Company and serves as a key leader within the finance team. The position will provide strategic, functional, technical, process and people leadership with a growing global organization. The Company will depend on this position to provide policies, financial control, compliance, risk management, budgeting, analytics and reporting. The position will manage multiple teams and work with respective department managers to ensure optimum organizational structure and delivery of their short and long-term goals.

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and develop teams in Corporate Accounting (Consolidations, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets and External Reporting), Business Operations and Credit & Procurement.
  • Coordinate month-end, quarterly and year-end closing, reporting calendar and related activities.
  • Prepare monthly and annual consolidated and individual business unit financials that conform to US and local GAAP on a timely basis. Provide executive summary and commentary on financial results and significant variances to prior periods and forecast.
  • Complete and review the Monthly Operating Report (MOR) and other ad hoc effective and timely financial analytics that measure both financial and operational performance, as necessary.
  • Maintain model for quarterly earnings and cash flow forecasts.
  • Prepare and present quarterly financial and reporting updates to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
  • Oversee acquisition due diligence, modeling, valuation, opening balance sheet, integration, working capital and earn-out calculations.
  • Protect assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing corporate governance policies, internal controls, systems and foreign currency hedging activities.
  • Counsel executive and business unit management to guide them through decisions that could improve profitability and compliance with internal policy.
  • Liaison and provide support as necessary for both internal (HR, IT, Tax, FP&A and Operations) and external teams (Independent Auditors, Legal Counsel).
  • Lead finance initiatives focused on best practice processes, enhanced business support, compliance and people/org development.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience. Ideal candidate would have 5 years of Big Four experience combined with 10+ years in industry. CPA and MBA is a plus.
  • Must be a strong people manager—Able to attract and develop, delegate responsibilities, provide timely and constructive feedback and resolve conflict. Able to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage multiple projects.
  • Strong problem solving skills and experience with process and system improvements. Proven ability to identify and implement best practices through prior industry experience.
  • Experience in formulating and delivering organizational plans and action plans for strategic initiatives.

Technology or Other Requirements:

  • Prior experience and understanding of Oracle EBS, Hyperion HFM/Essbase. Software/system implementation experience is a plus.
  • Strong accounting skills, prior SEC reporting and technical research background is a plus.
  • Advanced in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
