Senior Risk Engineer

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Risk Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to support cost control as per contractual procedures, objectives, and requirements.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Ensures that all aspects of projects are managed effectively and efficiently.
  • Tracking, updating, and monitoring of Project risks, and scheduling functions on projects.
  • Contact and support Project Controls and Scheduling individuals in role execution.
  • Demonstrable track record in the delivery of large multidisciplinary projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of project controls/ risk management procedures.
  • Project Risk Management knowledge and understanding Planning and Scheduling.
  • Technically proficient in all aspects of project controls I risk management such as QRA's to manage Programme and Project(s) schedule & cost outturns, risk, workshops, planning, analysis and managing risk processes.
  • Ensuring and reviewing risk management compliance related to Projects.
  • Competently delivering any technical project control / risk management requirements.
  • Preparing risk assessment and mitigation plans.
  • Assisting with the development and the implementation of the Risk Management.
  • process as defined in the Project Risk Management Plan.
  • Maintaining and populate the IRMS (Integrated Risk Management System) database with risk related information.
  • Assisting in the production of the risk reporting documents.
  • Assisting in the building of the quantitative risk models to be developed on schedule.
  • Participating upon Senior Projects Control Manager request to attend the risk meetings organized on the project.
  • Working knowledge of Pertmaster, or Oracle Primavera Analysis.
  • Broad knowledge with Project Management
  • Maintaining and populate the IRMS (Integrated Risk – Management System) database with risk related information.
  • Assisting in the production of the risk reporting documents – Assist in the building of the quantitative risk models to be developed on schedule.
  • Participating in risk meetings.
  • Providing support to the Senior / Project Controls Manager where required on project control matters.
  • Providing regular progress reports.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

  • University degree from recognized university in an appropriate field such as quantity surveying, Commercial Management or Construction Management or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years post graduate experience in major infrastructure projects or progrrame, preference will be given to drainage projects.
  • Requires basic engineering knowledge in electrical, mechanical, civil, or a related field.
  • Proficient PC skills including a working knowledge of various Project Controls software, Microsoft Office, Primavera and knowledge of PowerBI.
  • Must have strong analytical skills and be able to think strategically.
  • Experience in facilitating and administering multidiscipline meetings with large groups of stakeholders.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of the importance of timely reporting and the energy to deliver against demanding deadlines.
  • Must be MME registered.
