We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer – DevOps who will be responsible for incorporating industry-standard build, integration, deployment, and security practices into the development of our remote connectivity software that connects medical research and laboratory work instruments with the Cloud infrastructure.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Collaborate with software development teams to define, implement and enhance CI/CD pipelines for the remote connectivity software, incorporating automation and best practices
  • Manage and maintain the infrastructure necessary for development and production environments, including cloud resources, servers, and networking components
  • Building, implementing, and supporting development tools and infrastructure
  • Automating and improving development and release processes
  • Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats
  • Providing architecture input to new projects
  • Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes
  • Creating documentation and sharing best practices with other team members

The required qualifications for the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role
  • Experience with cloud computing concepts in Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services
  • Experience building or supporting CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or TeamCity.
  • Adept at using Git for version control, including managing scripts and environment configurations in GitHub.
  • Familiarity with branching strategies, pull requests, and Git workflows.
  • Experience with Terraform for creating and managing Azure infrastructure environments, such as QA and Production.
  • Experience with containerization technologies
  • Proficient in scripting with PowerShell and CMD to automate DevOps-related tasks and processes.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Understanding of software development processes in a regulated environment
  • Experience in the life sciences / medical device domain
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum software development methodologies
  • Experience with various Azure services such as Azure IoT Hub, Azure K8S, Azure SQL Server, Azure Storage, Azure Monitor etc.
