Senior Manager for Oracle Manufacturing Applications

Position Summary

The Senior Manager for Manufacturing Applications is responsible for leading and supporting Manufacturing applications. This position also requires working with cross-functional application support professionals who collectively maintain the general health of the Company’s core applications. This requires leading the application support staff, executing the Company’s application incident management strategy and providing technical leadership and expertise on business system architecture, application integration and development initiatives. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage application support team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and conducting semi-annual evaluations.
  • Provide technical leadership on business systems architecture, application integration and software development.
  • Manage critical projects and drive for successful implementation.
  • Manage technical and functional resources for development and project assignments.
  • Status reports on projects and application group enhancement tickets 
  • Ensure the smooth execution of incident management functions including application troubleshooting, root cause analysis, corrective action identification and implementation, preventive action identification and implementation, communication and reporting to all stakeholders.
  • Manage Offshore development and Support team.
  • Manage and support Integration projects, upgrades.
  • Guide Application team in Manufacturing applications including Quality, Engineering, Inventory, BOM, EAM and WIP. 
  • Also guide Supply chain team members for supporting interface with Manufacturing applications. 
  • Work with business partners on prioritizing enhancement request and development requirements.
  • Coordinate with offshore and technical team for development
  • Evaluate current tools and processes to constantly improve maintenance and systems availability.
  • Ensure critical business application uptime and availability SLAs are met consistently.
  • Manage and guide project members and consultants.
  • Training and guide business users and BSAs
  • Manage Managed services vendor and frequent review for Instance strategies and SLAs.Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications
  • Hands on Experience with all manufacturing applications in configurating systems and supporting systems. These systems include:

o Quality

o Engineering

o Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)

o Inventory

o BOM

o WIP

  • Expert level understanding of Oracle ERP applications and database architecture, as well as Oracle database and development tools (PL/SQL, SQL Plus, Forms, Reports)
  • Working knowledge of software development and support methodologies
  • Ability to understand critical business and technical metrics for application support operations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to communicate to a wide variety of audiences, and deliver results through influence
  • Basis knowledge on cloud applications

Education and Experience 

  • High School diploma; Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field is preferred
  • Minimum 15 years of professional IT experience
  • Minimum 10 years of Oracle EBS application experience with various modules (Quality, Inventory, Engineering, EAM, BOM, WIP and supply chain applications)
  • Minimum 5+ years in Oracle lead application support role
  • Minimum 3 years of Oracle application development experience preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing process
  • Experience in Medical industry with CAPA/Gxp controls preferred

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Travel Requirements 

  • Typically requires travel less than 5% of the time

Physical Requirements and Work Environment 

  • This is largely a sedentary role. 
  • This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
