Let's talk about the role

The Director of eCommerce is responsible for leading the performance marketing and sales growth of The North Face EMEA websites. This role requires a proven track record in growing eCommerce businesses through merchandise planning, digital operations and marketing strategies. The objectives of this role are to grow revenue, improve gross margin and deliver the ultimate brand / product online experience across all EMEA websites.

How you will make a difference

  • Manage and execute eCommerce strategies, tactics, campaigns, tools and initiatives across all devices to grow revenue / gross margin, enhance consumer experience, drive traffic and increase conversion.
  • Drive collaboration between Customer Experience / Planning / Sales / Digital Technology / Product and incorporate feedback to address market needs and improve Go To Market integration and execution.
  • Lead optimization strategies across Merchandising, Operations and Digital Marketing by analysing KPIs, monitoring new technologies and driving change when appropriate.
  • Lead, coach and develop eCommerce organization, both from a structural and talent development standpoints.
  • Create and develop eCommerce strategies aligned to the Global and Regional Marketing input, to fulfil EMEA market needs, ensuring global consistency and local relevancy.
  • Manage and own eCommerce P&L to maximize ROI and achieve financial plans. Track and monitor budget on a monthly basis to ensure compliance with company approved numbers.

What you bring

  • A least 6-8 years experience in a similar role, better if within the same industry
  • A senior level eCommerce professional with a demonstrable track record of achievement in management of budgets, developing relationships with third party vendors, team building and development, implementing digital marketing campaigns and influencing product merchandising buying / planning.
  • Strong communication skills, relationship building and ability to drive change across the business as the eCommerce industry develops.
  • International experience not required, but beneficial.
  • Deep understanding of The North Face brand with a passion for the outdoor and lifestyle industries.
  • Language skills: Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Knowledge of any other European language would be a plus.
