Account Manager (BU AS) (m/f/d) [Leoni Cable Inc :: Troy, MI, USA]

This position is in a growing business unit supporting existing sales and further identification of key products / development to support market opportunities in our industry. This business unit supports transportation markets with data cables and sensor cables. We seek an adaptable person supporting the customer and internally serving as a customer champion to build on current success and future investment.

Your tasks:

  • Manage key accounts from the BU AS to support industry trends and optimize sales and profitability.
  • Responsible for acquisition of new projects and programs (identifying opportunities, pitching products, pricing, presenting quotations, tracking opportunities, negotiating contracts, supporting launch of series business).
  • Responsible for volume tracking and expansion of series business.
  • Work with Quote Desk team to ensure correct, effective and timely quote preparation.
  • Coordinate input and alignment with Global Sales, Global and Local Product Management, Research & Development, Production and Customer Service.
  • Develop budgetary projections and sales strategy to support and execute business plan in coordination with HQ

Your skills:

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage complex business situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for relationship building capability - both internally and externally.
  • Strong analytical and time management skills.
  • BS degree or higher, MBA preferred.
  • English language capability required.
  • German language capability preferred.
  • Spanish language capability preferred.
