POSITION DESCRIPTION

As Market Development Manager, you will help to acquire the next top instructors for the Taiwanese market who teach courses in Mandarin. Your role will be to develop partnerships with individual experts and organizations to bring top new courses to Udemy - courses that will make a massive difference from a quality, revenue, and new student acquisition perspective.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who flourishes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You'll need to be determined, focused, and a scrappy executor.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve prospecting, signing, and publishing goals for Thai language courses.
  • Engage in targeted business development activities -- prospecting for, qualifying, and converting (including contract negotiation) experts into new Udemy instructors.
  • Develop partnerships with influencers, publishers, and corporate partners to drive supply and innovative outreach to energize their audiences and bring them to Udemy.
  • Come up with creative initiatives that will make a difference in your content acquisition efforts. Test them out, measure, scale or kill. Repeat.Travel as needed to facilitate partner growth.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2-4 years of experience in a sales or business development role, ideally in an entrepreneurial, start-up environment.
  • Must be fluent in Thai (native strongly preferred) and English.
  • Experience in business development activities, including: prospecting, demand generation, lead qualification, and contract negotiation.
  • Strong project and partner management skills; you can easily track multiple campaigns or partners through the funnel at any given time.A passion for online education and consumer internet products.
