Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Salary Range: $40,000 - $70,000/year, based on experience

Founded in 2018, Midtown Montessori Academy is dedicated to providing an authentic Montessori education for children from infancy through sixth grade. Our mission is to foster independent, curious, and confident learners through a child-led, hands-on educational experience. Position Overview

We are currently seeking a full-time Montessori Certified Primary Lead Guide (ages 3-6) to join our dedicated team of educators. The ideal candidate is a nurturing, enthusiastic individual who is Montessori-trained and eager to cultivate a rich learning environment that inspires a lifelong love of learning.

Responsibilities

  • Implement a comprehensive curriculum aligned with Montessori principles and the individual needs of each child.
  • Foster a learning environment that encourages independence, critical thinking, and collaboration.
  • Observe and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and preparing progress reports.
  • Guide students academically, socially, and emotionally, fostering a respectful and inclusive classroom culture.
  • Maintain a beautifully prepared, organized, and safe classroom environment with appropriately rotated Montessori materials.
  • Collaborate with fellow educators to align curriculum, share best practices, and contribute to the overall success of the school community.
  • Communicate regularly with parents through weekly emails, conferences, and progress reports.
  • Attend and actively participate in staff meetings, professional development days, and school events.
  • Follow all school policies, licensing requirements, and safety protocols.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Montessori Certified for Primary (ages 3-6) from a MACTE-accredited teacher training program.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a Montessori classroom.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child development and a passion for Montessori education.
  • Excellent classroom management and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Google Platforms and Transparent Classroom (preferred).
  • Certified in CPR, First Aid, and Universal Precautions (training provided if necessary).
  • Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and engage in classroom activities, including sitting on the floor for extended periods.
  • A professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude with a commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment.
