POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for procurement team performance within the supply chain (both materials and services), ensuring that Vertiv is being competitive in the market, with the best prices, conditions, and quality, by improving the performance of current and new suppliers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Guide the team on supplier development, both locally and internationally, based on defined procurement strategy, ensuring Quality and EHS premises.
  • Manage supplier performance with the team and follow up on actions plans to recover performance when needed.
  • Ensure formal agreements with suppliers are being generated to mitigate legal risks to the company.
  • Ensure that negotiations are being made by the team and actively participate in high complexity and impact negotiations with suppliers.
  • Follow-up with market trend, analyzing data regarding commodity prices, inflation and other market indicators to guide the tactical plan.
  • Alignment with Regional and Global procurement.
  • Generate reports to support management decisions.
  • Support on team’s development.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum number of 4-8 years of experience in Procurement field as Coordinator / Supervisor.
  • English speaking (advanced level)
  • Knowledge in ERP Systems
  • Excel intermediate level (data analysis, pivot table)
  • Knowledge in Oracle or SAP ERP
  • Spanish is a plus

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business related or technical field preferred (or equivalent of education and experience) – Business Administration, Civil Engineering or others related Engineering field, Foreign Trade.
