Job Summary

A true business partner who will drive profitable growth for Colgate and our Customers by providing financial guidance, leadership and insights to the CDT.  This will require strong leadership of finance fundamentals combined with a collaborative and commercial approach.

Responsible for analyzing the P&L and efficiency of our trade spending investment, managing the profitability of the Customer, and provide financial analysis and recommendations in order to meet our objectives.

In addition to driving efficient trade spending investment it is critical that this role ensures accuracy in trade spending accounting and accruals, along with the resolution of Customer claims and disputed deductions from Customer payments. This will require building relationships within the Customer organization to understand their internal processes and facilitate solutions.



  • Active participation in Customer planning and monthly discipline meetings, developing standard presentations with action focus.
  • Recommending changes to Customer business plans based upon an ROI mindset.
  • Developing an External mindset – being aware of competitive merchandizing strategies, pricing, promotions and investment levels
  • Understanding how internal and external information links together
  • Developing, communicating and monitoring financial KPI’s to ensure that projected ASP/Pricing and Margin targets are achieved, by Brand and Customer
  • Monitoring the promotional and pricing activity at retail to ensure that investments are being implemented, and that accruals are appropriate
  • Managing the development, integrity, accuracy and timeliness of the Customer Budget, LE and P&L’s
  • Proactively lead cross functional (Finance, CS&L, Customer Development) plans to resolve disputed Customer deductions issues and/or other issues
  • Active participation in Joint Business Planning (JBP), understanding the Customer and developing Finance-to-Finance relationships
  • Understanding and Communicating Customer Risks & Opportunities, and their impact upon internal commitments
  • Communicating all relevant information to Finance Leadership and Customer Development Leadership in a timely and transparent manner
  • Attend Market Visit with CD Team, review in-store execution competitive activities and provide observation and recommendation.
  • Ensure Operation with customers comply to tax ruling.
  • Ensure compliance with the Company's policies, procedures, SOX and guidelines
  • Ensure effective control of rebate accrual and settlement process.  Review the accuracy of claim and supportive documents according to financial policy and audit compliance.
  • Understand Financial Policy on trade spending and able to provide advise how to record Promotion to the right bucket.
  • Ensure T&C by customer is in place.



  • Graduated Bachelor’s Degree Or Master Degree in Accounting/Financial or the related field
  • Over 5 years of work experience in Finance and accounting in multinational Company
  • Commercial finance experience in FMCG is preferred
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, in timely and accurate manner
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skill
  • Fluent English communication
