  • Interim responsibility to serve as Project Manager for the Global Employee Relations – Outside the US project. 
  • Instead: Lead the project management activities for the Global Employee Relations - Outside the US project; including facilitating scope, design, and planning as well as successful execution.
  • Partner closely with Global ER Service Line Lead to build regional employee relations structures, recruitment efforts and manage team.
  • Act as a Change Agent, supporting BMS through the transformation of the HR Operating and ER Model and ongoing continuous improvement activities as services stabilize.
  • Manage and resolve escalated customer needs.
  • Act as subject matter expert and service delivery regional lead for localized employee relations support and fulfillment needs.
  • Manage investigations and cases of people-related issues such as: ER issues, disciplinary actions, legal issues (harassment, discrimination, leave, accommodations, etc.), performance management, and investigations.
  • Counsel and facilitate prompt and effective resolution of workplace conflict to address issues for employees, managers, and leaders in a manner consistent with BMS policies, practices and legal considerations. Utilize various conflict management techniques, including training, mediation, conflict coaching, etc.
  • Provide direction and guidance to ensure consistent achievement of employee relations service and business performance goals
  • Consult and coach People Leaders on employee relations, performance management, reorganization, and organizational effectiveness issues spanning all levels within the organization. Provide advice and counsel on HR practices, policy, and employment laws.
  • Partner with HR Law department in conducting investigations, research policies/practices, create and gather documentation, make recommendations and implement resolutions when applicable.
  • With respect to certain company locations, provide referrals to outside providers for assistance and oversee handling of the Employee Relations issue.
  • Identify best practices and design innovative solutions to influence continuous improvement in the organization.
  • Conduct employee relations risk assessments and provide actionable feedback.
  • Design and implement ER training and coaching of managers on skills and techniques.
  • Identify employee relations regional trends and partner on identifying solutions and building manager and organizational skills.
  • Develop effective relationships with the business to promote good employee relations across the organization.
  • Interact with global HR Business Partners, and other HR functions, to ensure a high level of employee satisfaction & engagement and appropriately plan, facilitate and monitor employee programs.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality throughout conversations and investigations. Manage highly confidential human resources information and exercise sound judgment in handling or working with confidential data and situations.
  • Ensure that the Company operates within current and local employment law to maintain reputation as a good employer.
  • Maintain strong business acumen while maintaining objectivity in work.
  • Required to work with several different People Leaders, HR Business Partners and several different parts of BMS business units.  Must be able to manage multiple projects and cases at any given time.  
  • May be required to work some off shift hours to support investigations at operations with multi-shift environments.  
  • Some travel may be required.  Will work with remote locations frequently via phone.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (First Degree)
  • 8+ years of HR or Employee Relations experience
  • 5+ years of HR or Employee Relations experience with advanced degree in Law, Human Resources or Employee Relations
