Job Description

• Coordinates all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, drainage, lifts, etc with civil activities.
• Liaises with Consultant, subcontractors, suppliers, PM, PCM, and PEs to ensure an effective interface with the construction schedule and full compliance
• Inspects ongoing works and verifies compliance of services submissions, material deliveries and performed works.
• Monitors testing and commissioning of plant and equipment and ensures their operation is adequately documented and retains results for record purposes of all testing and commissioning.
• Reviews services subcontractors ITPs, MSs etc. in coordination with the PQM..
• Monitors all subcontractors’ resources to ensure adequacy and availability to maintain the construction schedule.
• Briefs and report to the PM, PCM as and when required regards progress, problems, solutions, changes, VOs, daily reports, etc. Advises the PM and the PCM prior to commencement and on completion of any activity including remedial works.
• Ensures that all his related subcontractors are using and have received the valid contract drawings and documents related to their scope.
• Ensures that material schedule in conforming to the works schedule to verify that orders are placed on time with adequate arrangements.
• Coordinates daily his activities with his subcontractor’s activities and ensures effective interfaces, progress, submissions etc.
• Supervises and ensures that works activities are performed in accordance with the construction schedule, latest approved drawings, documents, materials, mock-ups. Check them against contract drawings and VOs.
• Coordinates with consultant with regards to approvals of drawings/material submittals related to all services.
• Ensures compliance with and implementation of project PQP during all construction operations and reports to the site PQM site deficiencies.
• Monitors and supervises daily the progress and the quality of the works, acts to make deficiencies rectified. Raises NCRs and ensures quality awareness of his subcontractors.
• Regularly verifies the calibration of used testing and inspection equipment used by his subcontractors. Retains records of calibration to ensure overall accuracy of the works.
• Participates in the handing over Team. Controls, supervises the application of handing over procedure, and inspect s works and lists items needing rectification, distributes respective remedial responsibilities to the relevant Sub-contractors
• Ensures the completion of snags identified by him/Consultant/Client/Departments.
• Coordinates with the PQM all the requirements of handing over and close out.

Skills

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, with 12+ years experience in MEP in major Building construction projects preferable high-rise building projects in GCC.
