User Experience Designer

Key Role:

Work closely with your product team to understand your client’s vision and their users’ needs. Work in an agile team, and design intuitive solutions as part of a large-scale digital transformation. Be part of a highly collaborative UX team that practices user-centered design while balancing the needs of end-users and business stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience with designing user interfaces for digital product
  • Experience with designing UI concepts, user flows, wireframes, and specifications
  • Experience with developing and implementing user research plans and synthesizing results into design recommendations
  • Experience working with agile product development teams
  • Experience with gathering and writing UX requirements as user stories
  • Experience with Sketch
  • Experience with applying user research to your designs
  • Knowledge of User-Centered Design
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements 
  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with designing in the federal government space
  • Experience working with Pega’s Cosmos design system or design systems, including writing guidelines on the usage of Design System components and patterns 
  • Knowledge of the US Web Design Standards
  • Knowledge of UI and UX design best practices
  • Ability to apply UI and UX design practices to designs
  • Ability to explain design choices
  • Ability to communicate with stakeholders and be collaborative, flexible, and communicative
  • Ability to demonstrate a proactive leadership-oriented mindset to problem-solving and attention to detail

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $65,300.00 to $149,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
