We are looking for a Facilities/Parks/Cemetary Supervisor based in Ontario, OR. While this is a supervisor position, often you complete tasks in the field. Working as a team or in a solo setting, this position is vital to the success of our project. Working closely with the client staff on facility repairs, City Hall HVAC.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains positive working relationships with clients, engineers, suppliers, subcontractors and job site staff.
- Balances activities between managing work and performing maintenance and repair duties.
- Oversee client contracts, ensuring the tasks are being completed as scheduled (janitorial)
- Successfully manages multi-discipline and specific Craft activities.
- Assigns work orders and scheduled maintenance activities utilizing CMMS technology.
- Completes the scope of work to the satisfaction of the client, while simultaneously ensuring Jacobs HS&E, compliance quality, financial, risk management; business and policy are adhered to.
- Demonstrates advanced knowledge of facility repairs.
- Leads day to day activities of a craft maintenance team with a focus on maintaining the client owned parks and cemeteries, maintenance equipment and facility maintenance.
- Oversees the cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shops, spare parts and satellite maintenance spaces.
- Possesses the leadership style and ability to grow a high performing, proactive maintenance team.
- Demonstrates absolute commitment and dedication to safe work and employee wellness, therefore modeling safe work and monitoring safety requirements are required.
- Effectively communicates with staff, management and clients, through responsive phone, email and personal interactions
- Attend monthly Parks Committee meeting after hours
- Ability to budget and operate within the annual budget to include developing the Capital Improvement Budget (including projects and equipment replacement)
- Overtime/After hours as needed to maintain operations (snow removal, HVAC, emergencies)
- Oversees and schedules the work crews when needed in the parks and cemeteries.
- Airport fence inspection, weed control and coordination of contactors for weed control.
- Schedules the grass runway, and rough area mowing at the client owned airport.
- Oversees the maintenance of the parks, cemeteries and medians/parkways as required; keeps them free of weeds; maintains sprinkler systems and assists in the repair and installation of sprinkler lines and heads.
- Operates loader, backhoe, and snowplow.
- Performs a variety of interior and exterior building maintenance tasks such as painting, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical, grounds work, and other unskilled and semi-skilled work as required.
- Plants lawn, trees, shrubs and flowers.
- Operates, maintains, and repairs tractors, mowers, chainsaws, weed eaters, light trucks, jack hammers, welders, trucks, steam cleaners, buffers, washers and other equipment as needed.
- Maintains current skills and knowledge in the proper and safe techniques of building and grounds maintenance functions.
- Collects and disposes of solid waste from buildings and grounds; picks up litter from premises.
- Opens facilities and secure them daily as needed.
- Cleans snow from park parking lots, cemetery travel lanes and all publicly owned facility sidewalks and entrances as needed.
- Assists in the construction of new park facilities including clearing, grading drainage, and foundation work.
- Maintains complete and accurate records.
- Responds to unscheduled projects and emergencies after hours.
- Ability to measure and compute using metric units and ability to convert between English and metric systems.
- Ability to perform heavy manual tasks for extended periods of time; works safely; communicate effectively verbally and in writing; establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other departments, and of the public; and understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
Here's what you'll need
- Minimum of a HS diploma/GED
- Valid Driver’s License – Class B CDL minimum or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- At least 5 years of experience (Trade / Forman / Supervision)
- OR Commercial Applicator License with Turf/Ornamental category or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Competent user of Microsoft Office applications and MC CMMS technology.
- Technical training and mentoring experience.
- Supervisor / leadership training and experience.
- Previous experience in. (HVAC, Plumbing, Equipment Maintenance, facility maintenance, turf maintenance and irrigation systems).
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand, kneel, sit, communicate, reach and manipulate objects, tools or controls. The position requires mobility and ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment/vehicles. Duties involve moving materials weighing up to 30 pounds on a regular basis and may weigh in excess of 50 pounds with assistance. Manual dexterity and coordination are required over 50% of the work period while operating equipment such as hand and power tools, weed eater, chain saw, sprayers, etc.
Some of the duties take place outside of buildings with exposure to all types of weather conditions and terrains on a year-round basis.

The base salary range for this position is $68,000.00 to $71,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
