The Global Financial Crimes Advisory Lead will be a key part of the Global Compliance Group and will provide senior advisory services as part of the Financial Crime Compliance group for Chubb globally. The individual will have substantial financial crime regulatory experience, along with the ability to manage and work collaboratively with both a direct and matrixed team, internal stakeholders, and third-party providers effectively when advising on Chubb’s Financial Crime Risk Management Framework. The individual will be dynamic and forward-thinking, with highly developed problem-solving and analytical skills and the ability to review and execute continuous improvement in the way Financial Crime Risk is managed across Chubb.

Responsibilities:

The role will report to the Global Head of Financial Crimes Compliance and will:

  • Provide advisory services for the Global Financial Crimes Compliance framework.
  • Work with regional compliance officers, senior business leaders, and external counsel to provide compliance advisory and legal advice as matters arise. 
  • Provide subject matter expertise and advice in relation to Financial Crime risks, which around AML, Sanctions policies requirements globally. 
  • Assist in drafting of policies & procedures as part of the Global Financial Crimes Compliance framework.
  • Execute AML and Sanctions risk assessments on an annual basis.
  • Manage blocked property reports and effectively manage and lead the Global Compliance Financial Crime Team. 
  • Collaborate and provide leadership and guidance to matrixed legal and compliance personnel in executing the Global Financial Crime Compliance Target Operating Model.
  • Be involved in the selection, management and oversight of third-party engagements required in the effective and efficient execution of the Global Financial Crime Compliance Framework.
  • Monitor global developments in Financial Crime Risk, including new designations, regulatory changes, enforcement proceedings; and assess potential business impact and ensure policies, guidelines, information, training materials are kept up to date, user friendly, accessible, and effective in getting key updates to relevant personnel in a timely way.
  • Significant experience and subject matter expertise in Financial Crime risk, Sanctions, and regulations and in developing, implementing and managing Financial Crime Compliance Risk including planning, monitoring and reporting in a multi-national environment, including US jurisdiction, with legal qualifications preferred
  • Minimum 4+ years’ experience in financial services including in developing and implementing effective and efficient Compliance Risk Management Frameworks with a focus on Financial Crime Risk
  • Experience undertaking projects and change management in relation to the effective and cost-efficient management of Chubb’s Financial Crime Risk.
  • Ability to manage a diverse workload, understand end to end business processes and have the capability to undertake appropriate Financial Crime Risk assessments, with demonstrated experience and ability to engage with internal and external colleagues, business partners and service suppliers to deliver a high level of service to the business.
  • Well-developed analytical skills and ability to interrogate, analyze and present data effectively to a business audience and as applicable for regulatory purposes.
  • Strong attention to detail, able to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines, problem solve and make decisions effectively with well-developed judgment around escalation.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills, strong organizational and time management abilities and abilities to develop highly effective working relationships within a cross-functional team.
  • Some travel is possible.
  • Fluency in English.

The pay range for the role is $102,000 to $168,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors.
