Software Architect, Technical Lead

The Team:

As a global leader in trade and transaction reporting, the Cappitech team have been providing RegTech solutions for over two decades. Our cloud-based, cross regulation SaaS platform allows banks, brokers, hedge funds, asset managers, insurance companies and corporates to comply with global regulatory requirements.

Cappitech is a dynamic team working within S&P Global, where the passionate R&D department plays a central role, aligning with the business using any relevant technology.

The Technology team works closely with all the teams within R&D to excel in the achievement of requirements and timelines. It provides system and software designs, writes relevant libraries and frameworks, defines coding and process rules, maintains technical knowledge levels with trainings, and supports our development teams every day.

Responsibilities:

The Technology team is looking for a software architect/technical lead to drive the R&D objectives to their success.

  • Have an impact on the Cappitech system, both in system design and software design.
  • Define, implement, and maintain good practices, security, and quality within the codebase.
  • Make sure we can move fast while doing things the right way.
  • Work over the whole scope of R&D, from the development process to infrastructure and software development.
  • Oversee the implementation of new features, designs, and new technology adoption.
  • Be a point of reference for other developers for knowledge, advice, and review.
  • Work within a global team, with multiple cultures and locations.
  • Interact directly with both developers and tech leads.

What We’re Looking For:

You are a passionate software architect and a strong developer who believes in doing things right.

You attach high importance to code quality, know how to write proper code and are ready to take ownership when necessary.

With your analytics skills and your experience, you look at things pragmatically and work seriously to find and implement solutions while thinking ahead. You value collaboration, open to others point of views and are ready for compromises, as you focus on the goals rather than just on being right.

You know that the team is a unit, the success of a person comes with the success of its team.

Expected skills/experience:

  • At least 10 years of Industry experience working in Software Development organizations.
  • A solid knowledge of C#, dotnet solutions, programming paradigms and designs
  • At least 5 years of Cloud-based systems experience, both hands on and design
  • A good knowledge and understanding of the whole stack
  • Fluent English
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and mentoring skills
  • Team player
  • Background with fintech or regulation technology is desirable
