The Role: Methods Engineer, Assistant Manager

The Assistant Manager Methods Engineer is responsible for implementing immediate resolutions for process-related issues and customer complaints. Take the initiatives in the process improvement projects that will improve cost, quality, productivity, and efficiency driving innovative solutions to improve the overall Yield and Defect Per Unit (DPU). Develop new manufacturing processes and line improvements by working with respective Cross-functional teams.

What will you do? 

  • Lead Capacity study and monitor --Based on the newest forecast from logistics, do the capacity study to see the gap between them and find a solution. Improve process internal line by LADM methodology --Update capacity and enlarge it by temporary method if something changes --Long-term capacity expectation (3 years), make an investment plan
  • Lead SPS respective factory function -- Keep diagnosis results, to find new waste happened --Continuously improve the IE level in the whole plant --Optimize the material handling process --Push logistics to improve raw material package size in localization project --Improve the old-line architecture or design a new line architecture base on lean manufacturing concept --LADM, MTM, VSM, and Ergo engineering
  • Lead & coordinate cross-department teams to resolve emerging issues in the process. Play a key role in supporting management decisions (to create a culture of continuous improvement in the team)
  • Generates, monitors, reviews and modifies, if necessary, the Work Instructions (WI) that are being used in the manufacturing line. • Supports and analyzes New Product Development (NPD)/New Product Transfer (NPT) processes during pilot run and mass production
  • Initiate and implement the Engineering Change Order (ECO).
  • Analyze and monitor failure trends Quality Statistics and Analysis Reporting (QUASAR) and formulate effective corrective actions/solutions to improve productivity and line efficiency
  • Lead Beat on Waste for the respective zone to Improve Productivity and Service Level
  • Monitors, evaluates, recommends, and improves the manufacturing process to increase productivity and reduce DPUs
  • Conducts training and certifications on operators regarding process familiarization and other issues, in coordination with the L&D group
  • Lead VSM workshop for zone along with driving action through Lean tools to improve Process lead time
  • Conducts Time and Motion study before the new products are introduced, during a production run, and after improvements are implemented
  • Responsible for PCBA transfer/localization
  • Considers as a Team Leader / Senior Expert who is an expert in several areas of knowledge regarding production/manufacturing processes in an entity. Strongly contributing to / leading continuous improvement actions

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS 

  • Support Production --Troubleshooting in daily production
  • Update the base of the working instruction on new quality or technical requirements--Train trainers based on product requirements --Optimize the production process to reduce the quality defect --Production database maintenance --Maintenance BOM and routine in SAP
  • To review PCBA process specification, including qualification plan with the central team and supplier for new design PCBA and PCBA localization
  • Qualify the PCBA process with the quality department together and the Manufacturing team, and transfer the responsibility of PCBA supplier management to the operation team after mass production

Who would be successful?

  • Bachelor of Science graduate preferably in Industrial Manufacturing Engineering
  • An effective driver of smart manufacturing
  • 8 + years of relevant experience in the Manufacturing Engineer department and the ability to lead Direct reports
  • Hands-on Experience in Leading Capacity management by designing New Line architecture
  • Experienced in industrial efficiency and driving Kaizen, Lean, JDI, and Six Sigma projects through Lean tools
  • Experienced in New Line Design and Automation with Digitization, Robotics, AGV, AI, and other related platforms
  • Must be amenable to work in Rosario Cavite
  • Working arrangements: Compressed workweek, Full onsite
