Job Purpose and Impact

The Plant Manager will provide strategic operational oversight for all production and operating processes for the Blooming Prairie, MN Bioindustrial plant. As a part of a growing Cargill Bioindustrial business, you will be accountable for standards aligned to safety, quality, operational effectiveness and financial performance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead and ensure all operations are safe and in compliance with regulatory, corporate safety, and environmental programs standards and goals.
  • Champion a team culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and partnership.
  • Build cross-functional relationships with centers of excellence teams in engineering, smart manufacturing and maintenance.
  • Accountable to implement and sustain the expectations of Process Safety Management program at the plant level, sponsoring the Process Risk Assessment program and Management of Change process by providing resources needed.
  • Oversee the execution of consistent and quality product while driving reliability centered manufacturing operations.
  • Responsible for strategy execution, management and compliance of capital and operating budgets and oversee the strategy of capital investment projects and spending.
  • Lead and own strategic implementation results of operational efficiency programs and smart manufacturing tools.
  • Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching and making decisions related to talent management hiring, performance and disciplinary actions. You will also collaborate with managers and supervisors in your organization to ensure staff selections align with current and future needs.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR in lieu of a degree, equivalent experience
  • Continuous improvement knowledge
  • Budgeting and operations planning experience
  • Minimum of six years of related work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Continuous improvement experience
  • Experience with highly hazardous processes
