Job Description – SAP FICO SME

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Advising clients on current and future SAP needs, including S/4 HANA business case & roadmap
  • Leading design workshops to gain a clear understanding of our client’s industry and business requirements, and to design and implement appropriate best practice solutions
  • Supporting business process re-engineering, particularly in the S/4HANA Finance space
  • Sharing knowledge and best practice within the group and across other disciplines in the firm, as well as developing members of your team
  • Playing a key role in planning and managing, Governance of client projects throughout all phases
  • Supporting the development of the SAP practice, including leading internal team activities and facilitating external client events

Skills required -

  • SAP FICO certification. Project Management certification is desirable
  • Expertise in managing projects that include Finance transformation from non-SAP environment to SAP S4/HANA, Suite on HANA Migrations
  • A minimum of  12 years’ or more experience  in SAP FICO implementations in a Consulting or external client facing environment
  • A solid understanding of core financial processes and the implementation of best practice solutions in the SAP FICO space along with S4/HANA knowledge
  • Proven experience in implementing SAP finance processes such as new general ledger, finance general ledger processing, accruals, bank accounting, asset accounting, management accounting (CO), profitability analysis, cash management, credit management and budgeting / planning
  • Strong knowledge on SAP VAT, tax and withholding tax functionality
  • Good understanding of Asset Accounting functionality on S4 Hana
  • Exposure to Fiori screens, apps and tiles
  • Proven experience in leading team planning for all project phases
  • Strong ability to lead, mentor and motivate teams, adopting a collaborative and supportive approach
  • Proven ability to build and leverage relationships with senior-level clients
  • Experience with (or demonstrable understanding of ) S/4HANA Finance, including the key benefits and implementation scenarios
  • Experience in Electronic Bank Statement (EBS) handling and Automatic Payment Programme (APP) settings
  • Good understanding of Asset Accounting functionality on S4 Hana
  • Good understanding of periodic tasks:
    • Interest calculation 
    • Forex valuation 
    • Reclassification (ALS)
  • Strong knowledge of New GL and Document Splitting functionality
  • Master data handling skills
    • GL master data
    • BP master data
    • VAT codes
  • CO Master data: Cost Centers, profit centers, statistical key figures, Internal orders etc. 
  • Financial document reconciliation skills
