Job Description: 

BXCI’s ICS team is seeking a Managing Director who will focus on driving the capital raising efforts across investment consultant firms, globally. The successful candidate will have active involvement with senior leaders of BXCI and will work closely with investment and fundraising teams across the firm.

The main areas of responsibility include:

  • Developing and executing a comprehensive and global strategy for the investment consultant channel, ensuring successful execution of strategies across all of BXCI’s products.
  • Understanding and articulating BXCI’s products, fund strategies, and deals in great depth.
  • Developing new long-term relationships with major fixed income allocators in North America and their gatekeepers.
  • Working closely with Blackstone’s existing ICS team to cross-sell BXCI products to large firm relationships.
  • Applying knowledge of credit markets and institutional portfolios to help identify new product development opportunities.

Qualifications: 

Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, have sound judgment, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. The successful candidate must have:

  • 12+ years’ experience calling on Intermediary and/or Institutional clients.
  • Strong product and vehicle structure knowledge within fixed income. Ability to effectively communicate and differentiate the BXC value proposition and the role it can play in portfolio construction.
  • Strong relationship management skills. Ability to identify client needs and position BXC as a solution.
  • Willingness to travel to create deep engagement and develop relationships with investors.
  • Strong judgment, interpersonal skills and strong ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of partners/stakeholders.
  • Candidate should be self-motivated, and a team-oriented individual who thrives on challenge in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong work ethic, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to learn.
  • Integrity, motivation, and intellectual curiosity.
  • Collaborative individual who will foster strong working relationships with portfolio managers and ICS teams.
  • Undergraduate degree is required. CFA designation and/or MBA preferred.

Expected annual base salary range:

$275,000 - $300,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
