The Local Map Operations Analyst I is an entry-level developmental role with mentoring support from the more experienced LMO Analysts and the LMO Team Lead. You are expected to contribute to the collection and verification of Map Features for the expansion and maintenance of content products for a specific geographic area.

Main Responsibilities


  • Actively look for, interpret and act upon change signals in local area of responsibility.
  • Constantly query and draw intelligence from centrally generated change detection toolsets.
  • Schedule and perform field data collection as required.
  • Manage and support map project efforts with Global Production.
  • Ensure accurate representation of real world conditions in the database including monitoring and interpretation of contextual local change detection signals.
  • Perform high priority and targeted geo-coding updates such as gold plated POI’s.
  • Participate in projects to develop improved map creation processes.
  • Under the close support of a more experienced Analyst or Team Lead, conducts database testing, real-world testing and inspection within a defined area as part of database ownership.
  • Ensure High Priority Updates coding activities are performed where required.
  • Execute and support Global Production Operations with complex coding projects.
  • Provide support for JIRAs, Map Feedback, etc.


  • Degree in GIS/Geography
  • Knowledge of programming languages ArcGIS, FME, QGIS
  • < 1 year experience
  • Local geographic knowledge and cultural awareness.
  • Knowledge of product specifications and proprietary tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office specifically with Excel and Word
  • Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and in Ukrainian
  • Ability to travel within and outside project coverage area.
