Position Goals & Objectives
We’re looking for a talented, experienced, and passionate candidate to lead Marketing for WeWork Labs. The ideal candidate has strong brand instincts and will bring significant experience in driving marketing at high-growth startup and/or mid-size companies. This person needs to be extremely hands-on, while also being able to build and manage a team. Daily work includes partnering closely with centralized and market-level sales, partnerships, programming, strategy, product, and corporate HQ teams, and oversee marketing channels that drive customer acquisition and global brand awareness for WeWork Labs.
The right leader will be a generalist with experience spanning online customer acquisition, brand building, PR, and B2B & trade marketing-focused events to drive business growth -- with excitement to tailor tactics by market as needed -- and have the chops to implement the systems and processes in coordination with the NY-based corporate marketing team to ensure programs are measurable and delivering on ROI expectations. The right candidate will have a depth of knowledge on defining sales personas, building assets and campaigns to influence these targets, and delivering creative programs that ultimately deliver new Labs members, drive retention, and help achieve aggressive sales, retention, and revenue targets.

Develop global and localized marketing strategy for WeWork Labs; work collaboratively with Head of Sales and market General Managers in each market to successfully plan and execute a diverse set of initiatives that support the achievement of sales goals
Grow and manage a team to support Labs globally, including marketing generalists, public relations, creatives
Oversee the go-to-market cadence for the launch of new markets and new locations in existing markets; Optimize processes and systems that help the markets to open Labs spaces at high occupancy
Lead thinking and execution of partnerships that can enhance the brand locally and globally
Work with HQ & Global marketing teams to localize the brand’s mission while staying true to the overall global vision
Understand the sales pipeline, key drivers and the role of marketing at each stage of the funnel
Build and maintain relationships with Integrated Marketing, Public Affairs, Community, and Sales to drive collaborative execution
Support in implementation of national & global campaigns
Represent the WeWork brand, mission and values

Deep knowledge of the startup “scene,” and developed connections with influencers in the startup ecosystem
Familiarity with the local startup ecosystem: investors, journalists, enterprises, entrepreneurs, local accelerators, incubators, and start-up ecosystem at large
Demonstrated passion for startups, and a desire to help them to succeed
Proven experience with business scaling
Experience in operations, project management, event production, sales, and/or customer service from an experience-based environment is a plus
Technical background is highly desirable
The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability required.
Bachelor’s degree a must; MBA a plus
10+ years of experience growing and leading significant growth-focused marketing teams in the enterprise, mid-market, and/or startup space
Proven success and ability to execute both tactical and strategic initiatives
A team-building mindset and experience in hiring, mentoring and managing high performing marketing teams
Ability to travel to markets across the globe
Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, work ethic, and empathy
Passion and understanding for WeWork’s mission and values
