DESCRIPTION

The Head of Business Development will be responsible for owning and building out our partnerships program. He/she will develop and execute a strategy to drive new customer growth for Human Interest by working with complementary companies that also serve small businesses.


RESPONSIBILITIES

The Head of Business Development will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategy to increase revenue through channel partnerships
  • Identify, prospect, negotiate, close, and onboard new partners in the SMB ecosystem
  • Evangelize Human Interest to increase brand awareness among potential partners
  • Develop partner marketing programs and sales enablement content to help existing partners drive more business to Human Interest
  • Effectively work cross-functionally with other departments within the company to achieve shared goals

REQUIREMENTS

  • You have at least 5 years of business development, partnerships, and/or channel sales experience
  • You have experience with channel partnership strategies designed to acquire small business customers
  • You have extraordinary communication and interpersonal skills — people trust you and get the sense that you are advocating for something in which you believe
  • You have strong closing instincts to get a prospective partner over the finish line
  • You know how to navigate an organization to influence the right people to make a partnership successful
  • You are capable of structuring and negotiating complex, non-standard agreements
  • You have a track record of proven decision making to help guide successful startup growth
  • You’re a self-starter that can be resourceful and make fast progress without a large support organization
  • You have a demonstrated track record of satisfying partners and creating win-win relationships
