The Role

Roc Nation, a Live Nation joint venture, is seeking a Manager, PR & Partnership Marketing. This role will report into the VP of Global Communications. The position is based in the New York City headquarters and will play a critical dual role with responsibilities that span public relations and partnership marketing. This person is a hands-on people person who can successfully build and grow relationships with clients, media, and brand partners. An ideal candidate is able to bring new and exciting ideas to the table in a fast-paced and rapidly changing business environment.

Responsibilities:

Public Relations

  • Pitch and place stories related to Roc Nation Sports, Roc Nation Unified & its roster of clients - including sports, lifestyle, business, and crisis management placements;
  • Responsible for press release and pitch writing;
  • Execute and develop short-and-long term press strategies for clients;
  • Assist in maintaining department’s clips, distribution lists, and other tracking documents;
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with clients, coworkers, and media.

Partnership Marketing

  • Assist in managing partnership marketing relationships between clients and brands, ensuring deliverables are met;
  • Ensure key stakeholders (internal and external) are informed & up-to-speed;
  • Assist in maintaining deliverable tracking, invoicing and fulfillment documents.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred;
  • Meticulous oral/written communication skills; AP style proficiency;
  • 3-5 years’ experience in PR/communications required; experience working in sports or consumer brand PR preferred;
  • Proven ability to secure compelling, robust media coverage across multiple subjects; generate story ideas and make them compelling to media;
  • Experience crafting press releases and pitching stories with a history of successful placements;
  • In-depth knowledge of national media landscape with relationships and contacts in the media industry, and the ability to identify new outlets and contacts regularly;
  • Track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with brands and clients;
  • Strategic thinking and ability to bring new ideas to the table;
  • Organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Knowledge of trends in news and pop culture;
  • Positive, team player attitude.
