The Respiratory Care Program at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) invites applications for anticipated part-time, and full-time temporary positions at the Instructor and Assistant Professor level for the academic year 2023-2024. IUP offers a CoARC accredited program leading to a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care, within the department of Nursing and Allied Health Professions. The successful candidate(s) will be assigned to the Pittsburgh East regional campus, and may be assigned to work at off campus sites and/or provide instruction through distance education.

To perform the essential functions of the job, this position requires working at third-party sites that are not owned or controlled by the University These sites may have various health and safety requirements for IUP employees to enter their facilities. These requirements may include, but are not limited to, providing proof or certification that you are fully vaccinated against the SARS-CoV-2 virus and its variants, influenza, and possibly other transmissible viruses. The selected candidate for this position will have to adhere to all other policies of the field sites, which may include, but not be limited to, background clearance checks, drug testing, and medical clearance.
Academic faculty must have, and maintain the physical and mental abilities, communicative skills, and stamina necessary to carry out the essential functions of their positions in teaching, research, scholarship, and service. Work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve standing to a significant degree, walking for brief periods of time and may include driving requirements.
