Job summary

The Red Hat Customer Content Services team is looking for a Technical Writer to join its team of passionate open source content developers in Ra'anana Israel. In this role, you will be the voice of Red Hat's technical authority, creating content that helps customers achieve their business and technical goals with Red Hat solutions. You will collaborate with content strategists, product managers, product engineers, support engineers, and other stakeholders to understand the customer's perspective and create effective content solutions.

Primary job responsibilities

  • Work closely with content strategists, engineering project teams and other stakeholders to create and maintain high-quality content for Red Hat solutions
  • Engage and collaborate with the closed loop customer feedback program to address content gaps, act on direct customer feedback, and promote continuous improvement on the documentation experience
  • Keep up-to-date with product changes, customer use cases, and support issues by integrating with specialty groups from Global Support Services
  • Effectively manage documentation projects and deliver effective customer-focused documentation
  • Master the use of our internal documentation toolchain, including the publishing platform and issue tracking tools

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or an arts or language field
  • Fluency in verbal and written English
  • Familiarity with and knowledge of Red Hat solutions or related industry offerings (Linux, middleware, storage, cloud or virtualization technologies)
  • Ability to read, write, and compile technical documents, including feature descriptions, customer use cases, and release notes
  • Communication skills in establishing and maintaining communication with subject matter experts and other project team members
