Job Summary:

As our Director Rooms, you'll be responsible for leading and managing our Rooms Division, which includes Front Office, Concierge, Guest Recognition, PBX, Housekeeping, Valet laundry, and Valet parking. Your focus will be on maximizing revenue opportunities, maintaining guest satisfaction, and upholding the hotel and company standards at all times. Our ideal candidate is a natural leader with exemplary skills in communication, problem-solving, and leadership, committed to ensuring seamless operations. Key Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Leadership Skills: Provide clear direction and guidance to the Rooms Division team, fostering a culture of excellence and high-quality service.
  • Hiring & Training: Staffing, training, developing, and continuously evaluating employees to ensure operational efficiency, high-quality service, and adherence to company standards.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Anticipate and address issues proactively, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Communication Skills: Maintain open and effective communication with guests, employees, and other departments to ensure a cohesive work environment.
  • Financial Acumen: Manage departmental budgets, analyze costs, and ensure financial performance aligns with goals.
  • Technical Proficiency: Utilize Windows Operating Systems, spreadsheets, and word processing tools to manage operations and reports.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Organizational Skills: Plan and coordinate the activities of the Rooms Division, ensuring compliance with standards and optimal staffing levels.

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar position
  • Valid driver's license from the applicable state.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure, maintaining composure while quickly evaluating situations and determining the best course of action
  • A strong communicator who listens actively to understand concerns raised by coworkers and guests, and effectively conveys ideas and solutions
