The Internship Program 

The Hearst Magazines Summer Internship Program is a paid, full time 11-week program for undergraduate rising Juniors & Seniors. From June 3 – August 16, 2024, our interns will gain an immersive, hands-on experience with one of the top publishers in the world. 

In addition to working with their assigned team on important projects, interns will gain access to Hearst’s diverse professional network by participating in intimate learning sessions and join fun peer networking activities throughout the summer. Program participants will also leverage Hearst’s resources to work on and present a group project to senior leaders at the conclusion of the program.

Women’s Health is dedicated to helping women live their happiest, healthiest lives. We produce digital, print, and social content across multiple pillars including health, fitness, beauty, sex & love, and news. 

Women’s Health is looking for an enthusiastic editorial intern with a passion for health and wellness to join its integrated print-digital team. This person will pitch ideas, research, report, and write stories for both the website and print magazine. They will work with editors across all verticals including health, fitness, sex & relationships, and life. This is a full-time temporary internship role based in Women’s Health’s office in New York City.

What You'll Do

  • Assist Editors in all aspects of producing content for Women’s Health, including research, sourcing assets, pitching and writing articles.
  • Contribute to commerce stories, galleries, listicles, and more.
  • Assist with administrative tasks

Who You Are

  • You have an interest in health reporting and writing
  • You have an interest in analytics and digital best practices
  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can juggle many deadlines at once
  • You are a rising undergraduate Junior or Senior studying Journalism or a health-related major where writing & reporting skills are integral

The estimated base salary for this role is $20/hour. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, including geographic location where the work will be performed, and other factors permitted by law. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. 

This role requires the position to be located in New York, NY with an in-office presence of 3 days a week.
