Summary
This position is a staff level position who independently performs specialized or advanced health information activities necessary to maintain the integrity of the Master Patient Index as they deliver high quality service and support to our customers. This position performs all Identity Functions (including patient merges, unmerges, contact moves, name changes, work queue resolutions, etc.) for all patients housed in the EMR database. MPI integrity is essential to accurate patient identification which leads to increased patient safety and timeliness of patient care delivery. They will work cooperatively with the Identity Supervisor, staff, and physicians, as well as, internal and external customers to ensure goals are met, and quality targets are reached and maintained.
