Job Description
A plumber technician at McMarro Family Restaurants is part of a facilities team. The team as a whole play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of 46 McDonald’s restaurants. Our plumbers ensure the proper functioning of the plumbing systems in our restaurants and the operation of various appliances and fixtures. This job requires our plumbers to drive to different locations daily, work during different hours of the day and different days of the week.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair plumbing issues
- Handle emergency maintenance and repair tasks efficiently
- Follow all company safety procedures and rules
- Perform general maintenance tasks to the plumbing systems
- Assist in developing and implementing preventive and corrective maintenance program
- Complete daily work assignments accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain an adequate stock of maintenance materials and equipment to prevent shortages or excess inventory
- Keep detailed records of daily maintenance activities
- Ensure work areas are safe and organized at all times
- Operate equipment safely to prevent accidents or damage
- Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition
- Assist coworkers and collaborate on tasks as needed
- Attend job training and safety programs organized by the company
- Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and OSHA requirements
- Lead by example, demonstrating reliability, punctuality, and integrity
- Maintain strong attention to detail, ensuring all tasks are completed to high standards and identifying potential hazards before they escalate
- Demonstrate physical stamina to perform maintenance tasks and remain active throughout shifts
Qualifications
- At least 2 years experience with of commercial or residential plumbing
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record is required
- Ability to: prepare and interpret blueprints, schematic diagrams and sketches; prepare cost and material estimates; perform mathematical calculations, communicate effectively orally and in writing; understand and follow oral and written directions; keep accurate records; establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
- Be able to work independently
- Have good listening skills and close attention to detail
- Be responsible and show up on-time
- Bilingual is a plus
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, operate power tools and equipment, physical stamina to perform maintenance tasks and remain active throughout shifts
