Working as a Sr. Design Project Manager (with an Architectural background) in the San Antonio office, you’ll have the opportunity to use your existing client relationships to help grow our Higher Education practice in Central Texas and beyond. As a “Seller-Doer” you’ll help with maintaining and developing client relationships for key Higher Education clients. You will be involved on or lead pursuit teams in the pursuit of Higher Education projects. As a Sr. Design Project Manager you will lead some of the most exciting Higher Education projects in the country. You will also use your skills to mentor up and coming project managers.

As a Sr. Design Project Manager, you’ll leverage your people management skills to help your team members discover what drives them, guiding them forward supervising design documentation activities of others to include checking activities of staff in preparing feasibility studies, programming/planning studies as well as checking the activities of staff in the preparation of drawings and specification documents for Conceptual Design, Schematic Design, and/or the Detailed Design Phases for facility design projects.

Here's what you'll need

  • 15+ years of AEC buildings experience as a client-facing Design Project Manager on Higher Education programs
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from Accredited University
  • Professional Registered Architect (RA), preferable licensed in Texas or able to quickly obtain a Texas license
  • Experience managing a multi-discipline team of design professionals, including monitoring work performance and driving professional development
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentations
  • Knowledge and implementation of project financial acumen
  • Experience developing fee proposals and RFQ responses
  • Experience in business development through networks and client relationships

Ideally You’ll Also Have:

  • Understanding work flow and documentation for BIM (REVIT)
  • LEED registration
  • Active participation in professional organizations
  • Experience in the Texas Higher Education Market
  • NCARB certificate holder

Posted Salary Range: Minimum

130,900.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

198,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $130,900.00 to $198,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
