The Academic IT (AcadIT) division in Health Information & Technology Services (HITS) serves both the education and research communities at the University of Michigan Medical School (UMMS). We engage faculty, students, and staff to provide a holistic portfolio of software and applications, infrastructure, device support, and custom projects, promoting innovation and excellence. AcadIT is comprised of three areas that work in concert to provide support: 1) Application Services - focused on product management and support for vendor applications; 2) Software Delivery - focused on building custom applications when a vendor solution is not available and offering secure application environments; 3) Technical Services & Engagement - focused on providing support for high-performance computing, device management, data integration, and scientific programming and engagement and outreach with our customers.

We're seeking a motivated and creative Senior Business System Analyst (BSA) to join our Platform Solution Development team within Health Information Technology and Services (HITS).
The ideal candidate for this position should be dedicated, passionate, and possess the creativity and flexibility to discern customer needs, address ambiguities, and think innovatively to solve technical challenges.
Provides technical and functional support to users, helping them work efficiently and expanding platform capabilities for broader business needs. Responsibilities include conducting audits, providing project support, performing administrative tasks, and requiring strong communication skills. The role involves managing the Symplectic platform, including data cleaning and development oversight, while collaborating with colleagues, technical staff, customers, and other stakeholders.
