Are you a visual storyteller who thrives on bringing brand identity to life in physical spaces? As the Manager - Design Visuals and Merch Art, you’ll lead a talented team in crafting compelling graphics and signage that shape how millions of customers experience our stores. From murals to wayfinding, you’ll make sure every touchpoint feels intentional, inspiring, and on-brand.

This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you’ll do

• Lead creative direction for all in-store graphics, signage, and branded storytelling zones.
• Manage and mentor a team of designers and production artists to deliver high-impact visual solutions.
• Collaborate across design, marketing, architecture, and merchandising to ensure cohesive store experiences.
• Translate brand guidelines into scalable visual systems for diverse store formats.
• Oversee vendor partnerships and ensure quality execution of seasonal and promotional programs.
• Stay ahead of design trends, materials, and technologies to keep our stores fresh and engaging.

Basic qualifications

• 5 or more years of design experience with a strong portfolio in environmental graphics and branding.
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with tools like AutoCAD or SketchUp.
• Proven leadership in managing creative teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Deep understanding of typography, color theory, and spatial storytelling.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in retail, hospitality, or large-scale branded environments.
• Bachelor’s degree with Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Environmental Design, or a related field
• Experience with working with store designers and architects
• Working knowledge of ADA signage and accessibility standards
