Job Description

Summary

Staff Manufacturing Project Manager will be a part of the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Research Center. The incumbent will be responsible for management of product and/or process transfer from R&D or another operations site. This includes responsibility for analysis, planning, and execution of transfer activities as well as on-site co-ordination, establishing new processes, arranging necessary resources, and creating documents necessary to successfully transfer products (from R&D/Development or from other manufacturing groups / sites). Staff Manufacturing Project Manager also can act as a project manager in NPDI or transfers, substitute supervisor and train new staff members.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Act as manufacturing sciences lead in NPDI projects:
  • PLANNING AND EXECUTION: Conduct planning sessions, represent operation and manufacturing sciences in project core team. Ensure new project implementation deliverables are planned and implemented as per project timelines.
  • RESOURCES MANAGEMENT: allocating and coordinating resources such as workforce, materials, equipment, and budget to ensure optimal utilization and timely completion of manufacturing project.
  • QUALITY ASSURANCE: implementing quality control measures, conducting regular inspections, and maintaining strict adherence to quality standards and regulations throughout the manufacturing process transfer.
  • RISK MANAGEMENT: Ensure project success by identifying, highlighting, and mitigating risks in the scope of responsibilities.
  • COMUNICATION & COLLABORATION: facilitating clear and timely communication between team members and partners.
  • Adopt and constantly seek for opportunities to improve process / product transfer workflows.
  • SKU, BOM management through ERP system
  • Is responsible for initiating and leading major change procedures.
  • Actively uses PPI tools and methods.
  • Is an active team member, generates ideas on how to improve and optimize processes.
  • Assists team members in resolving extended team and functional issues.

Education & Requirements:

  • University master’s or PhD degree in life science, bioengineering, analytical or synthetical chemistry.
  • At least 5 years of quality, lean, product development or manufacturing experience.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Computer literacy (MS office 365).
  • Knowledge of quality management standards and requirements.
  • Knowledge of general principles of documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, communication (verbal and written) skills, organizational skills.
  • Experience in PPI/lean manufacturing.
  • Experience thorough working knowledge of various continual process improvement techniques.
  • Demonstrate Thermo Fisher Scientific values – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation and Involvement.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with Quality System Regulation and FDA expectations for software and hardware validation is a plus.
  • Understanding of analytical technologies such as liquid and ion chromatography; mass spectrometry is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in Lithuania is €40,500.00–€60,750.00.
