What will I be doing?
People Operations:
- First line support on our AskPeople queries in Slack and Jira - tagging other specialists where the answer cannot be found.Provide initial support for AskPeople queries received via Slack and Jira, escalating to relevant specialists when a resolution is not immediately available.
- Continuously enhance employee information to promote self-service.
- Maintain and update employee records in our HRIS (Workday), ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policy and procedures
- Efficiently manage the external references inbox, responding to requests in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to coordinate pre-boarding and activities, including background screening, right to work checks and contracts.
- Lead the onboarding process to make sure new hires have a great start, acting as their main point of contact before their first day.
- Support compliance initiatives related to employment law and internal best practices.
- Foster effective collaboration and communication with other support functions (eg. Tech Services, Finance)
- Pro-actively seek out opportunities to improve employee experience
- Support the People leaders on ad-hoc activities that enhance employee engagement and strengthen our culture as we grow.
Workplace:
- Weekly ordering, and tidying of our London office supplies and groceries
- Ad hoc event and facilities support as required for London (for example client visits, or health & safety checks such as fire drills)
About You
You're a highly organized, empathetic, and proactive People professional with a passion for delivering an exceptional employee experience. You thrive in a dynamic environment, love solving problems, and are eager to contribute to a growing company's culture. Ideally you’ll have/be:
- Experience in People Operations or Talent Operations: You've previously worked within a People (HR) or Talent Acquisition function, understanding the critical role operations play in the employee lifecycle.
- HRIS System Proficiency: Hands-on experience with an HRIS system (like Workday) and a solid understanding of how to leverage it to deliver seamless services and maintain accurate records.
- Payroll Support Experience: Familiarity with supporting monthly payroll activities, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
- Exceptional Organizational Skills: Known for your meticulous attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive & Problem-Solving Mindset: You're not just reactive; you actively seek out ways to improve processes, anticipate needs, and resolve issues before they escalate.
- Customer-Centric Approach: You're passionate about providing outstanding support and a positive experience to employees at every touchpoint, from onboarding onward.
- Strong Communicator & Collaborator: Able to build rapport quickly, communicate clearly and empathetically, and work effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
