Content QA Expert (Intern)

Metadata creates a common & global language (Dictionary) between eBay’s buyers, retailers & merchants, and enables structured search and browsing experiences across our on-line marketplace platform. 
Join our mission to enrich the dictionary at scale! We are looking for a Content QA Expert that will be in charge of testing our content quality and improving our QA processes. 

Main responsibilities:

  • Work with track leads to define content guidelines, QA methods and  goals for the task 
  • Evaluate outsourcing content decisions quality
  • Analyze error patterns and suggest improvements
  • Provide clearly articulated feedback and recommendations to the track leads
  • Benchmark outsourcing agents’ work to improve their performance 
  • Provide constant feedback to the outsourcing force team leaders
  • Track and monitor tasks progress, efficiency and quality
  • Participate in manual testing of various automations and tools outputs 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Native Speaker of German – MUST
  • Computer skills and MS office: Excel in particular (must)
  • Solid attention to details
  • Curious, quick learner, highly motivated and self-directed
  • Team player, yet able to work independently 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent English, written and spoken


  • Good familiarly with the Internet and the e-commerce domain
  • Past experience in QA, knowledge of testing techniques
  • Experience with e-commerce classification, taxonomy, and controlled vocabularies
  • Basic SQL
  • Additional Languages (French, Spanish, Italian)
