Job Title: CNC Machinist

Job Description

Join a dynamic team specializing in the production of gear boxes for a variety of industries including logistics, food and beverage, and bulk material handling. As a CNC Machinist, you will work with state-of-the-art equipment to produce parts for conveyors of various sizes.

Responsibilities

  • Perform set-ups and operate different CNC mills and lathes.
  • Edit G&M code at the machine to ensure precise production.
  • Conduct first and last piece quality inspections to maintain high standards.
  • Work from technical prints to guide machining tasks.
  • Utilize micrometers and calipers for accurate measurements.
  • On the Vertical Mill: Conduct set-ups using Okuma and Fanuc controls, handling mostly plate parts ranging from 4 inches to 26 inches in size and ½ to 2.5 inches in thickness.
  • On the CNC Lathe: Handle shaft work using Siemens controls, perform set-ups, and make tooling changes.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with CNC machining, including lathe and mill operations.
  • Proficiency in setup and operation of CNC equipment with 2 years of experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints for machining tasks.
  • Skilled in using micrometers and calipers for accurate measurements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with DMG and Siemens controls is a plus.
  • Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends.

Work Environment

The role operates on a 2nd shift schedule from 2:30pm to 1:30am, Monday through Thursday, with overtime available after the shift. Weekend shifts run from Friday to Sunday, 9:00 am to 9:30 pm. You will be working in a large facility equipped with advanced machining technology, providing a stimulating and productive work environment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $60000.00/yr.
