The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.

Job Description:

Shopee’s Operations department is constantly solving problems and introducing innovative solutions to improve platform usability and enhance end user experience for our buyers, sellers, and partners. Our teams sit at the core of our business and collaborate with various departments to manage end-to-end e-commerce processes, and design scalable solutions to create impact across multiple markets. To do so, we deep dive into the fundamentals of each aspect and drive strategic initiatives to sharpen our policy, processes and features for greater product and operational excellence.

Our Operations team comprises key Marketplace Operations functions, such as Customer Service, Listings, Payment, Seller Operations, Returns & Refunds, Fraud.

About the Role

In this role, you will play a critical part in redefining strategic direction, driving high-impact initiatives, and building competitive operational capabilities. You will work closely with Regional stakeholders across domains to assess current strategies, develop action plans, and support execution for long-term growth.

This role is ideal for someone who combines strategic thinking with operational rigor — a problem-solver who can turn complex challenges into practical solutions and drive results across functions.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and optimise strategies, processes, and performance tracking models across regional operations, including cost structures and workforce sizing (spanning several thousand employees across functions)
  • Conduct market research and deep-dive data analysis to uncover insights and inform business planning
  • Work cross-functionally to shape go-to-market strategies, test hypotheses, and improve performance outcomes
  • Align priorities and goals with senior stakeholders, translating high-level strategies into actionable plans
  • Lead and support the execution of strategic initiatives across people, process, and technology dimensions
  • Monitor implementation outcomes and refine approaches to maximise impact
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects to support continuous improvement and sustainable growth

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in a top-tier strategy consulting firm
  • Proven track record in developing and implementing business strategies and managing complex projects or programs
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into strategic insights
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving unstructured problems, with the ability to balance big-picture thinking with attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence across functions
  • Passion for driving impact in a dynamic environment
