As a Manager in Securities Operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional operations and driving process efficiency.

As a Trade Lifecycle Associate I within the Settlements team, you will support the daily operations for settlement and transaction processing for Equities and Fixed Income trades received from global and domestic clients. You will execute error-free operations, identify and escalate exceptions, and comply with firm policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). You will also participate in training opportunities to enhance your skill set and cross-train colleagues.

Job responsibilities:

  • Provide supervisory support in the day-to-day management of business deliverables, including trade instructions, settlement of trades, inventory/position management, and inter-company reconciliation.
  • Ensure operational procedures are followed and tasks are completed accurately and timely.
  • Provide first-level supervision to staff during business hours.
  • Support the process Vice President in delivering top-quality operations for this global business.
  • Document procedures and update documentation periodically.
  • Identify requirements for additional controls.
  • Investigate and escalate issues daily.
  • Provide daily/weekly statistics and assist in appraisals.
  • Participate in global and local projects, including new business, system enhancements, and market rule changes.
  • Engage in process re-engineering to enhance efficiency and controls.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Banking and Financial Services/Treasury environment or related function.
  • Familiarity with products and services, Asset Servicing, and Trade Management & Settlements.
  • Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to provide coaching and guidance on necessary processes.
  • Strong control and audit mindset with an understanding of industry policies/regulations.
  • Good relationship-building and time management skills.
  • Flexibility to work on holidays/extended hours on high-volume days, if required.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and productivity/quality goals.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Good written and spoken English communication skills, effective communication with key stakeholders.
