The Administrative Assistant to the MLP Director provides high-level administrative support for the MLP-Multi-Language Program Director of BYU-Pathway Worldwide as well as works with the organization to perform special assignments as directed by MLP Director. The primary functions of these assignments have wide implications. The position requires coordination with others both within and outside of the organization, and a demonstrated ability to perform standard organizational tasks. In addition to understanding BYU-Pathway Worldwide, the assistant must understand the organization of the Church, BYU-Idaho, and the Church Educational System.
The Administrative Assistant to the MLP Director is expected to keep up with the quick pace of all MLP dealings in a professional environment and regularly changing schedules. Being teachable, perceptive, and proficient at learning is required to effectively manage the competing demands and priorities associated with this position. The administrative assistant to the MLP Director position is one of high visibility and often includes working with documents and information that are confidential, sensitive, and of high importance to BYU-Pathway Worldwide.
The Administrative Assistant to the MLP Director is critical in supporting the BYU-Pathway Worldwide Multi-Language Program Director as they strive to fulfill the institution’s mission to develop disciples of Jesus Christ throughout the world who are leaders in their homes, the Church, and their communities. The administrative assistant to the MLP Director must represent the organization in a manner the demonstrates knowledge and understanding of the BYU-Pathway Worldwide Defining Characteristics, allowing senior leaders to focus their time and energy on strategic priorities and goals.
Important: This part-time position typically works (Monday – Friday between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm). This position is a hybrid position
