Express Employment Professionals- Akron is searching for a Rubber Press Operators on 2nd shift in the Barberton, Ohio area

About the Role:

The rubber press operator will be in charge of safely and efficiently operating machinery to mold rubber products to specific shapes and quality standards

Starting pay $16.25 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

• Load raw rubber materials into the molding press and operate the machinery according to production schedules and work orders.
• Monitor critical parameters during the molding cycle, such as temperature, pressure, and cycle times, to ensure product specifications are met. Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Visually inspect finished rubber products for defects, ensuring they meet quality standards and identifying any issues to supervisors.
• Load and unload materials and finished products from the press and tooling, requiring manual dexterity and physical effort

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong ability to identify subtle defects and ensure product consistency
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects (e.g., 25-50 lbs), and perform repetitive tasks and fine motor skills.
• Basic understanding of machinery operation and the ability to troubleshoot minor issues.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good math (counting) and written communication skills.
• Efficient time management skills and ability to effectively multitask.
• Basic computer literacy needed.
• Creative problem solving
