Description:You will be the Quality Engineer for the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC) team in Chelmsford, MA. Our team is responsible for designing, developing, and manufacturing precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries, ensuring the highest level of quality for our customers.

What You Will Be Doing

As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. You will work closely with design and production teams to guarantee that our customers receive the best possible products.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes
  • Analyzing and resolving process issues
  • Leading program corrective action meetings and participating in Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards
  • Performing assessments and audits to ensure compliance with specifications and standards
  • Interfacing with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality-related issues
  • Utilizing lean initiatives to drive continuous improvement
  • Making the final decision on acceptability of product

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.

Basic Qualifications:

  • STEM Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/combined education
  • 2 + years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in relevant computer applications
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Must have at least Interim Secret clearance prior to starting position

Desired Skills:

  • Bachelors degree with at least 5 years of professional experience in a manufacturing environment
  • ASQ CQE
  • Discrete and/or Micro-electronics experience
  • Understanding of root cause analysis and corrective action development
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma application
  • J-STD-001/IPC-A-610 familiarization
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
