Are you looking for a fast-paced and challenging position that will exploit your Mainframe and COBOL skills to provide crucial help to Californians? Do extensive variety, challenging deadlines, frequent exposure to managers and staff in the Information Technology Branch as well as program areas excite you? The Employment Development Department (EDD) is looking for highly motivated and qualified individual to work in the Mainframe Tax/Benefits Accounting Group of the Mainframe TAX and Employer Services Section (MTESS) of the Application Services Division (ASD).

You will be a member of the MTESS in EDD's ASD. You will be responsible for maintaining complex mainframe applications that support Benefit Accounting and Employer Reporting systems. You will be working in a team or independently to develop new applications in a complex technical area or process and maintain existing systems.

This position is at EDD's headquarters office at 722 Capitol Mall, Sacramento, California and may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. This position may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and is subject to change as business needs arise. Employees are required to report to their headquarters office on their assigned in-office days. Travel expenses to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee
