Position Summary:

Aniplex of America, located in Santa Monica is seeking a Web Developer and Designer to join the team.  Our ideal candidate has experience designing websites, has a genuine interest and curiosity in Anime, is passionate about creating amazing digital experiences, and is a self-starter comfortable working with counterparts in Tokyo. The position requires experience developing website using HTML5/CSS3. 



  • Work closely with project stakeholders, understanding their goals and requirements and translating them into engaging interactive experiences
  • Craft designs that support a responsive design system (fluid grids, flexible images, and media queries), and support an array of devices and browsers
  • Produce digital assets related to the delivery of compelling online product experiences (wireframes, storyboards, designs, motion, imagery, etc.)
  • Work within project parameters: stakeholder objectives, user experience, technical constraints
  • Maintain an understanding of industry trends and share your insights with the team


  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related filed
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in web design
  • Experience developing website using JavaScript(including frameworks such as jQuery and HTML5/CSS3
  • Experience developing sites in associate sever systemphpJSON/XML etc
  • Other Basic Internet knowledgeDNS/FTP/SSL etc
  • Experience using Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experience working with outside third web company
  • Web server management experienceApache/nginx etc
  • Must be bilingual Japanese-English
  • Must demonstrate a genuine interest and enthusiasm for Anime
  • Strong communications, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Will be required to provide portfolio of work
  • Must be eligible to work unrestricted in the USA
