Global Delivery Lead – Senior Procurement Manager

Procurement Global Delivery Centers (GDC) are value centres providing Source to Contract process for all GSK’s Global businesses.

Global Delivery Lead in GDC is responsible to lead the Procurement Global Delivery team in the assigned locations/ categories across organization and to deliver projects, savings and other set KPIs.

This role is also responsible:

  • To develop, lead and manage a team of procurement professionals in assigned location to ensure effective performance of procurement team in the scope of responsibility : category or geographic
  • To collaborate and execute strategy and value opportunities for Global Delivery Center
  • To lead the source to contract execution of global sourcing strategies for all spend categories in scope, in a matrix approach with Global Categories and LOC in order to best meet the needs of the business units

This role requires high cultural awareness to work seamlessly across multi-cultural business landscape and proven experience in managing complex prioritizations, operational/people sensitive issues, navigating through organizational complexity, handling escalations and associated business impact.

Responsibilities:

  • People leadership - lead and direct a Procurement team in assigned locations and develop and implement effective ways of working across the GDC, LOC and Category team
  • Strategy execution - execute sourcing strategies for spend categories in scope of responsibility aligned with the requirements of stakeholders and business partners with cooperation with Global Categories team
  • Ensure GSK’s Procurement policies, procedures, processes, systems and methodologies are utilized in a compliant manner in the area of responsibility
  • Benefit delivery - support category leads in the creation and delivery of effective savings targets other set KPIs agreed with key stakeholders and Finance in accordance with the agreed Savings Methodology and global budgets.
  • Deliver benefit identified in strategies, local, regional and global, through effective and collaborative strategy execution, aligned to assurance of supply (risk management), quality, service, cost and innovation.
  • Operations Management - resolve escalations, manage complex prioritizations with multiple variables/considerations including but not limited to stakeholder sensitivity, business value and impact, spend, savings, compliance, risk to GSK etc.
  • Drive operational efficiency – create and manage effective process to ensure the delivery of targets, KPIs of GDC
  • Set and deliver continuous improvement of all process with responsibility to build best in class Global Delivery Centre in Procurement
  • Business partnering & stakeholder management in GSK - Collaborate and build strategic relationships with local GSK leadership teams, to identify and deliver business benefits

Why you?

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Degree level (eg. MA, MBA), CIPS or international equivalent will be an asset
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing procurement teams
  • Experience in managing high value indirect spends (Marketing/ sales/ professional services/ facilities etc.) and categories strategies execution.
  • Power to effective stakeholder management and supplier relationship management .
  • High skilled in strategic sourcing, sourcing execution, commercial and contract negotiations for complex global indirect categories
  • Strong experience in using tools like Ariba or other equivalent sourcing execution technology
  • Fluent English

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Advanced level in one of the following languages: Spanish/Italian/French/Portuguese – would be a plus
  • Ability to manage and execute multi market projects with consideration to diverse business needs and regulation (eg taxes, law, regulation)
