We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to take on a dual role as Chapter Lead and Software Product Owner for our Escalator Software team. This unique position combines technical leadership with product ownership, offering the opportunity to shape both the engineering excellence and strategic direction of embedded software solutions for escalator systems.
Key Responsibilities
As Chapter Lead:
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to software developers and testers.
- Drive engineering best practices, skill development, and continuous improvement within the chapter.
- Lead system and software architecture design for embedded escalator control systems.
- Ensure high-quality software delivery through robust requirement management, release planning, and defect resolution.
As Software Product Owner:
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, end users, and agile teams to define product vision and deliver value.
- Translate business requirements into actionable user stories and technical specifications.
- Apply design thinking to enhance user experience and product innovation.
- Ensure product performance and value throughout its lifecycle using DevOps and agile practices.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong programming expertise in C/C++ and scripting languages.
- Proven experience in Linux-based multitasking embedded systems.
- Deep understanding of system/software architecture and design.
- Hands-on experience with TCP/IP, socket programming, and interface protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, RS485, LIN, CAN).
- Exposure to IoT development is a plus.
- Proficient in debugging and analysis tools (e.g., J-Link, gdb, Valgrind).
- Experience with static/dynamic analysis tools (e.g., Coverity, LDRA) and memory leak resolution.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, security, and certificate management (e.g., PSK, CSR handling).
- Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to bridge business and technical perspectives effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in product management, agile methodologies, and DevOps practices.
- Growth mindset with a proactive, can-do attitude.
