What you'll be doing
You will be joining CIBC’s Commercial Banking and Payments Technology (CBPT) team as the Analyst, Automation and Test Data Management (TDM). In this role, you will be part of a dynamic team focused on developing innovative automation solutions for functional testing and test data management. Collaborating with QA teams, business partners, and other stakeholders, you will leverage your expertise to address complex business challenges through automation. You will play a hands-on role in the end-to-end testing process, providing strategic input and ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client needs. Your responsibilities will include creating test plans, developing strategies, providing estimates, and coordinating with QA teams across departments.

How You’ll Succeed
- Collaboration: Partner with Operations, QA, Development, Business, Technical teams, and vendor partners to establish comprehensive plans, standards, and procedures that align with project objectives and constraints.
- Testing Expertise: Leverage your expertise in software development testing and test data management to design and manage end-to-end testing activities for various projects. Work closely with QA and automation teams to deliver high-quality products that meet both business and system requirements.
- Teamwork: Contribute to team objectives by collaborating with cross-functional team members, actively participating in continuous learning opportunities, and sharing your skills and knowledge to drive collective success.
Who You Are
- Experienced Professional: You bring over 3 years of hands-on experience in Automation testing, including test case creation and execution, and test automation using tools like Selenium or Tosca. You have a proven ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously. You are skilled in enhancing or maintaining automation frameworks.
- Technical Expertise: You have strong knowledge of end-to-end testing processes, Agile/Kanban methodologies, and automated test data generation and management. You are experienced with tools such as Jira, Microfocus ALM, Zephyr, Confluence, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins. Familiarity with additional functional testing tools is an asset.
